MARIA MAROTTA
Maria Marotta passed away at Sarah Neuman Nursing Home in Mamaroneck, NY on March 9. Survived by children Rick of Los Angeles, Christine of Stamford, CT, Jerry and wife Valerie of Woodstock, NY and Tom of Mamaroneck, NY. Also survived by grandsons Diego Marotta and Zachary Milner. Also survived by brother Armando of England and sister-in-law Gloria Salvo of Harrison. Predeceased by husband Chris R. Marotta of Harrison, sister Rose Foley and brothers Domenic, Richard, Frank, Mario, Aldo, John and Hugo.Mrs. Marotta was born Maria Del Torto in New Rochelle, NY on July 17, 1924. She was educated in New Rochelle schools and lived in Harrison for 40 years. She had been a member of the Harrison Columbiettes. As a young woman she worked in retail and was a volunteer at Cornell Hospital in White Plains.
In lieu of flowers, please donate to the charity of your choice. Visitation will be held at Harrison Funeral Home, 329 Halstead Avenue, Harrison N.Y. from 2-4 pm and 7-9 pm. Funeral Mass held at St. Gregory The Great in Harrison on Wednesday, March 12th at 10 a.m. Internment to follow at Greenwood Union Cemetery, Rye, N.Y.
