LOUISE GERMANO

Louise Germano, passed away on May 18, 2008 at her home in Mamaroneck. Born in Mt. Vernon to Hanibal & Amelia Acocella. A graduate of A.B. Davie's High School. After graduation, she worked for the Army Corps of Engineers in NYC.

A 59 year resident of Mamaroneck, Louise was active in her community. She served as President of the Mamaroneck Health Center on Stanley Ave where she spent many hours with new born babies and mothers teaching the care of children. During her time with the Health Center, she made it possible for the Village of Mamaroneck to take possession of the property of Stanley Ave.

Louise was the past President of the Mamaroneck Women's Club as well as a past co-President of the Mamaroneck Ave School PTA in the 1950's. She was a member of the Larchmont-Mamaroneck Garden Club and also a member of Bonnie Briar Country Club for over 40 years where she enjoyed golf and the facilities with her husband and children. She was a parishioner of St. Vito's Church.

Louise married her beloved husband, Joseph Germano, a life-long Mamaroneck resident on September 9, 1950. They have four daughters, Patricia Ann Doniger and Lisa Germano Lawless, both of Virginia, Diane Germano of Mamaroneck and JoAnne Germano Healy of Sprakers, NY. Louise was blessed with four grandsons and two great grandsons.

Visitation Tuesday, May 20 from 2-4 & 7-9 pm at COXE & GRAZIANO FUNERAL HOME 767E. Boston Post Rd. Mamaroneck. 914-698-5968. Funeral Mass Wednesday, May 21 at 10 am at St. Vito's RC Church followed by interment at Holy Sepulchre Cemetery. In lieu of flowers donations can be sent to Sarah Neuman Nursing Home, 845 Palmer Ave Mamaroneck, where Louise enjoyed spending time making flower arrangements with residents.
