The Larchmont Manor Park Society was established in 1892 to maintain, preserve and protect Larchmont Manor Park. Some 13 acres in area with 5,000 feet of Long Island Sound shoreline, this beautiful private park is open to the public due to the generosity of its owners, some 280 residents of Larchmont Manor who own property on Map 610.
The Park has paths for strolling and gazebos and benches where visitors may rest and take in the striking scenery. A few basic rules are designed to preserve the natural beauty and assure tranquility for all. Bicycling, skating, unleashed dogs, playing of radios and musical instruments and picnicking are not permitted. The Park is open year - around between dawn and dusk.
Special Features
Larchmont Manor Beach, located in the Park, provides swimming at a natural sandy beach for residents of the Manor and the Village. Residents of other areas served by the Larchmont Post Office may also apply when space permits. Use of the beach requires the rental of a bathhouse or locker. The Beach is operated by the Larchmont Manor Park Society and is open from Memorial Day weekend through Labor Day.
Horseshoe Harbor Yacht Club, located in the Park, is the Societys managing agent for yachting facilities. A self-supporting member organization, it provides mooring and launch services, organized cruises and races, social activities and a sailing school for children.
