LARCHMONT NEWCOMERS' CLUB

The Larchmont Newcomers' Club, serving Larchmont, Mamaroneck, and New Rochelle (LNC) is a social organization that has offered local residents a means of participating in community events with friends and neighbors since the early 1950's. The Club offers many activities to its members including monthly luncheons, evening meetings for working members, a variety of outside activities such as playgroups, a book club, men’s basketball, and special events for men, women and children. Despite the name, the Larchmont Newcomers' Club is not limited to new members of the community. LNC luncheons, special events, and outside activities are a great way to meet other area residents in a relaxed, social atmosphere.

WHO: Membership is open to all residents of Larchmont, Mamaroneck, and New Rochelle, who would like to meet fellow neighbors while participating in LNC activities and local community events.

HOW: Call us at our hotline number, (914) 973-LNC1 or email us at LNC_Online@hotmail.com. We can answer any questions you have as well as send you a membership form. Once you send in the application form with your annual membership fee, you will start receiving our monthly newsletter outlining all the various activities and interest groups we offer. You can also stop by one of our monthly luncheons (see below) or coffee mornings/evenings (see below) and learn more about us.

COST: Annual membership dues are $45/year for the first three years, $25/year thereafter.

LUNCHEONS: LNC Luncheons will be held in the Larchmont Avenue Church, located at the corner of Larchmont and Forest Park Avenues in Larchmont. Luncheons are held on the first Thursday of each month from September through June. (December and June luncheons are held offsite and require pre-registration. January 2003 luncheon will be held on January 9th instead of the 2nd.) Luncheons are open to members and non-members alike, so stop by and find out more about us.

BABYSITTING: Babysitting is provided at all the luncheons for $10/child ($4/additional siblings). Babysitting is provided free of charge at "coffee mornings" - see below. COFFEE MORNINGS/COFFEE EVENINGS: Non-members are invited to attend one of our informal "coffee mornings" or “coffee evenings” to meet Club members and learn about the Club and its offerings. Several "coffee mornings" and “coffee evenings” will be scheduled throughout the year. Please contact us to make a reservation.
