MARJORIE ELIZABETH (FOSTER) D’ARCANGELO
Marjorie Elizabeth (Foster) D’Arcangelo of Mamaroneck passed away on September 8, 2004
at age 86. Marjorie was born in Newark, NJ on June 2, 1918 to James Edwin and Elizabeth
Lavigna (Evans) Foster.
She was raised in Caldwell, NJ Marjorie received a Bachelor of Science degree from
New York University, in 1942 and was President of The Delta Zeta Sorority. On October
20, 1945, she married the late A. Rick D’Arcangelo, who predeceased her in February
2004. During WWII, she was employed by Lea & Perrins and The Pennsylvania Railroad
in New York City. For many years she was employed at D’Arcangelo & Co, LLP Certified
Public Accountants, the accounting firm her husband established in 1950. She was a
wonderful mother and devoted wife whose support for her family, her husband and his
career was unwavering. Marjorie was a Girl Scout Troop Leader and Cub Scout Den Mother.
Marjorie is survived by her children: James R. (wife, Mary Ellen), Inez E. (husband,
Alfred Thoben), Martha A. and John P. (wife, Kathleen). Also survived by nine
grandchildren and one great-grandchild. Marjorie is predeceased by her brother,
John Warren Foster (wife, Jacqueline).
Reposing on Saturday, Sept. 18 and Sunday, Sept. 19 from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 pm at COXE &
GRAZIANO FUNERAL
HOME, 767 East Boston Post Rd., Mamaroneck. Funeral Mass Monday, Sept. 20 at 11:00 am at St.
Gregory the Great Roman Catholic Church, followed by interment at Greenwood Union
Cemetery, Rye, NY. In lieu of flowers, contributions should be made to the A. Rick
and Marjorie E. D’Arcangelo Scholarship Fund at NYU, NYU Stern School of Business,
44 West 4th Street, Suite 10-54, NY, NY 10012.
